Catalonia, what's up?

It is a historical fact that Catalonia is a nation other than Spain. Officially now is part of Spain because it was subjected by force of arms in 1714, but not because it had voluntarily requested.

Catalonia people now want to decide their own destiny and become, peacefully and democratically, in a new European state.

The Spanish government, in breach of international law, denied the right to vote in the Catalan referendum to decide if they want to be or not any more Spanish.

We want to inform the world of our peaceful struggle and denounce to the world, especially in democratic countries, the abuses committed against our dignity as Catalan people and the abuses against our economy, against our freedom, against democracy and against our will.

And especially after the non-agreed referendum of October 1, 2017, we want to denounce the violence of an state, the Spanish, who strike voters to try to avoid this referendum.

We also strongly demand the release of the political prisoners that Spain retains as hostages in front of the independentist forces of our country. Jordi Sànchez, Jordi Cuixart, Oriol Junqueras and Joaquim Forn are paceful people who have never used violence to defend their ideas and who are unjustly accused of serious crimes such as rebellion and sedition.

Freedom political prisoners!
